Roof cleaning

Hello all, I know this question has been asked several times but here it is again. I have these grey spot on my rubber roof that I can't seem to be able to remove. I've clean the roof with roof cleaner, dawn detergent, this borax stuff and tried tylex and still I have the grey looking spots. Can anyone give me the answer to removing these spot beside a new roof.

My guess is that these gray spots could be the result of mold in which case they are extremely difficult to remove. The spots are not simply just on the surface but "penetrate" into the rubber membrane. My understanding is that, while they don't look "good", these spots will not cause any problems with the EPDM rubber.

Often, mold spots are more black-looking than gray but after cleaning or soft-scrubbing the roof, they seem to turn a grayish colour.

I called Dicor and asked the same question. Go to the bottom of the link posted. They recommend Tilex Mold and Mildew Cleaner. I tried it on a small area on top and it does remove the stain.

Would it be possible to upload a pic of the stain? I have only been up to see the roof twice so far while cleaning, but it would be nice to see an example of something to look for. If you can't though or its already cleaned, no worries.

Mold does develop especially if park for a duration under trees. If mine is bad enough (maybe once/yr) I simply spray some mild bleach solution and it cleans up well. Make sure you rinse very well.
I recommend not using any abrasive methods to remove stains as it will just degrade the soft membrane material.

Don't forget all these chemicals you are using on the roof, need to be rinsed off well and then don't forget to clean your sides, I even wax the sides after a roof clean and condition.
