First, what kind of RV roof do you have? If it's EPDM and on an older trailer, it may be worn and need recoating/replacement. If it's TPO and on a newer trailer, some cleaning compounds may damage the material, so you'd want to use cleaners specific to your type of roof membrane. So, give us more information and you'll get a variety of "homebrew" formulas as well as the commercial choices.

Oh, and welcome to the forum.

You will hear many different opinions. Strong cleaners will clean the roof but will likely strip any wax off the sides of the trailer. Some cleaners recommend to cover the sides with plastic painters drop cloths.
I've used about everything. Last time I cleaned the roof, this past Spring, I just used Wet and Forget. They say it will not damage RV roofs. Looks good so far. Follow their directions. It will not have immediate results.

My Alpha roof recommends Spic n Span, basically no harsh cleaners & no sealers required.
I use Simple Green concentrate mixed a bit on the strong side in a gallon sprayer, saturate the roof, wait 15-20 minutes, scrub with a medium bristle brush with a 50/50 mix of Turtle Wax & Mcqiures Gold carwash soap, & rinse thoroughly.
