Passport 238ML outside upgrades

Had no rear bumper on the TT so installed a trailer hitch for bike rakes only and a 4 square for sewer hose and the put a carrier for sewer tote so I dont have to put in truck.

Can you post some pics of how you mounted the hitch? I don't remember there being anything structural in the area that you used. Did go up through the flooring?

Also, what is the hose connection near your tank drain? 3rd picture.

OK Im not the best picture taker but Its eaiser for me to describe

1. went to used car office and picked up old 2" hitch that was a take off took home and cut off 6" from center on both sides.
2. Went to central iron and steel and purchased 7' ft of 1/4 inch of 3 square and two 1/4" 6" long 2" L brackets and 1, 3/8 6" L bracket 14" long.
3. Only welding was hitch to center of 3/8" L bracket and welding The 3/8 to the 3" square in the center.Make sure you leave about 2" between hitch and 3 square.
From here on in everything is bolted .
4. butt the 1/4" L bracket to one side of the trailer frame. Know is a good time to do a lot of measuring to make sure in can slip the 3 square into place I had to cut a little off the 3 square to get in put left enough to set on l bracket.I actually cut a 2by4 and used that as a template.
5. used an assortment of 7/16 ans 3/8 bolts to hold put lL bracket on inside of tt frame and bolted through it. Did I mention a lot of drilling also ran 1 7/16 bolt on each side through L bracket and 3 square.
6. Drilled through tt facia over the hitch to stop a twist in the 3 square.
7. I used the ratchett strap to take bounce out bike rack with two bikes and I think different rack would perform differently
8.Brother in law is and engineer and he stated it was very strong and will hold two bike maybe even 4 bikes.
9 since I used bolts to attach I can remove if sold.

Wow, you're a busy person! All I've done so far is hang a tension rod for a curtain and put up some Command stuff.
