No 12v Lights
Hello All
New here and to RV's/travel trailer. Just bought our first, a 2000 Keystone Springdale 25RKLS. Among many problems i'm attempting to sort out, my first post here is this ??
Everything inside works fine fine on 110v But i get no lights on 12v power. The built in radio works, and have not tried the water system on 12 v.Got to tackle one thing at a time.
The guy we bought it was of little help, all he did was go to full hook up parks. I knew when i bought it the power slide did not work and the water heater. But right now i need to fiqure out why the lights are fine on 110 but nothing on 12v.
Many thanks from a pair of newbies. Jim

There should be fuses in the panel as well

If lights are working while on shore power (110v ac) check the condition of the battery and look for a disconnect switch or blown fuses. There are in-line fuses for the slide that may be blown also. Welcome and good luck. Let us know what you find, Hank
FYI Do not try to operate the slide without a fully charged battery. Low voltage can over-heat and burn out the slide motor.

check the battery voltage as it may be the original battery and would most likely be dead.
follow the positive battery lead along the frame and there should be an in-line fuse or little circuit breaker. the breaker is oval with 2 studs. these are inexpensive and known to fail.
if there is a battery disconnect switch, see what position it is in.

i to would check the inline fuse/ breaker. like others have said faloow the positive cable from the battery to the breaker. it is usualy a silver rectangular can. you can jump it to see if everything works and then replace it. any auto store will have them. of course make sure the battery is fully charged and any shut off switch is in the on position. and just to confuse the issue. white is ground black or if your lucky red is pos.

Ok- With the ac power unpluged, i get power to first three fuses on the right hand side, and the ones on the left ( that go to the lights, are dead). if i jump over from the red hot wire , the work ???

How handy are you? There should be a common bus running across the back of the board and all the separate dc circuits are tapped off of that. Sounds like there may be a break in that.
One thing to try if the first 3 fuse circuits on right work is to disconnect the wire on the bottom and move one of the wires from the non-working circuits on left to it. see if it works.
of course, easiest thing is to take a volt meter and see if you are getting 12V from each fuse.
