New forum member and first time RV owner

Hi all! This weekend the wife and I finalized a deal on a 2018 Cougar 27RESWE!

We’re excited to introduce our two little ones to rv camping as our family did when we were kids.

We’re in Central Washington State.

Our tow rig is a 2004 Silverado 2500hd Duramax.

I’m already scouring the forums to learn tips and tricks.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new trailer! Lots of great members with tons of knowledge willing to help so fire away with questions or just pull up a chair by the fire and chat.

I've not been to Washington state (yet) but have seen lots of beautiful pictures so I'm sure you will have plenty of places to "stretch the legs" of your new trailer. Looks like it will be perfect for your family and I am positive the memories you make with the little ones will be etched in their brains when they get older. My kids are 52 and 47 and still remember "those camping days back when". Have fun!

Thanks! Yes, we have multiple places a day’s drive to camp both in improved spots and boon-docking. All of the Northwest is beautiful in my opinion but I might be biased as I grew up in Oregon.

Welcome aboard and congrats! We also raised our kids vacationing in trailers and have years of fun memories. Now our kids come and bring their kids...it just keeps going.

You've got a nice rig and you will create many great memories.

Thanks! And I love your location description. I grew up on the “wet side” of Oregon but now live on the “dry side” of Washington.

Welcome to the forum. Take a look at Wenatchee Confluence State Park, it would make a great place for you to do a shakedown cruise and check out the new RV. I go there every year in Mid May.

Thanks, I’ll check it out! The dealer we purchased from also partners with a few other campgrounds around the basin and gave us a few free nights.
