Hello From Nevada

Greetings,

We purchased a 2019 Keystone Passport 2810bh this past summer and have already been to the East Coast and back.

Our current tow vehicle is a 2003 3/4 ton Suburban 4X4 with the 8.1 liter, and 3.73's. Gas mileage leaves a little to be desired, but has plenty of power.

We have an E2 weight distribution hitch with sway control, the setup pulled beautifully even through the Rockies. No white knuckle experiences, thankfully.

Please feel free to give any advice or concerns regarding the current setup. There isn't much information regarding Suburbans towing TT's. We will be upgrading our tow vehicle this fall to a 3/4 ton diesel.

Thanks and I look forward to my time on the forum.

Looks like you're good to go with that setup & welcome!
One concern, can't tell due to the tree limbs, hopefully there's a second air conditioner hidden up there, 1 ac in the Nevada summer heat will NEVER be enough to cool down a RV of that length, can't imagine a RV dealer in your area even selling one without 2 acs.
A bit if advice, when looking at 3/4 ton diesels also look at the 1 ton single rear wheel, very little difference in price, ride, mileage, has same options, but much more payload so you'll be ready for your next RV upgrade without trading vehicles again.

Thanks for the reply, there isn't another A/C hiding behind the trees unfortunately. We remedy that by using a Dyson Heat and cool fan.

I think we will include the 1 ton in our search criteria. It can't hurt to have too much truck.

Heating that RV won't be an issue, RV furnace's for the most part are more then adequate to heat that length rv, but with only one AC, some times with 2 AC's, heating will still not be an issue, you'll have more than enough all summer. Your Dyson fan will definitely be helpfull to move the hot air around. BTDT!

Welcome! We put many miles on a 29’ Sandpiper with our 05 Navigator (1/2 ton) went to LA and back to visit the mouse. SUVs can make great tow rigs
