Unhappy Hello from Michigan

Thanks for having me, I just sold my pop up last night(Rockwood hw296) Picking up a new 2016 Passport 2810bh Wednesday! It's longer than I wanted to go but my wife wanted a couch! I will be pulling it with a 2013 F150 Eco boost. Dealer will be installing a Husky Centerline TS.
I was ready to purchase a Bullet until I laid on the bed, talked about cramped. Fortunately the Passport has a full size queen. I also like the longer awning and little bit larger holding tanks. Would like to have aluminum wheels and a power tongue added in the future.
We are excited for the first trip!

Welcome to the forum from Southern MD. I have the same trailer and love it. I traded up so I could have the full Queen and a couch. My DW wanted the bunks for the grandkids. I added a power tongue jack immediately. It's an easy install. We also added a foam topper on the queen bed. It helps take the edge off and the mattress is getting better each time we go out. I also added a battery cut off switch and screens on WH, Fridge, and Htr vents. Keep an eye on the seal around your clearance lights. I had the silicone go bad and it leaked into the closet. Buy a torque wrench to check your lug nuts regularly. It takes awhile for the paint to break away so they seat well. Don't hit any curbs like I did 2 weeks ago. It damaged 2 tires I wasn't going to replace until next season. Hope I haven't overwhelmed you. Have fun and enjoy. [emoji39]

The Bullets and Passports are fraternal twins of each other, made at the same manufacturing site with the same materials. I was set on buying a Passport 3220BH back in February of this year but came across the same floor plan in the Bullet 308BHS. The Passport did offer a full 60x80 bed verses the Bullet's 60x74 bed. But I was more interested in having solid bunk and bed room doors (not curtains), aluminum rims (not steel), and 2 extra large pantries (not 1). The Bullet provided enough "walk-around" space in the front of the bed that I bought a 6"x 6"x60" foam insert from a foam distributor near me, placed it in front of the mattress at the head of the bed, and bought a 4" mattress topper to cover the now "60x80" queen. It worked well and feels like our $2000 mattress at home. So most of the differences are personal preferences and cosmetic at best.

Enjoy your new camper.

Thanks for the welcoming and tips. Busterbrown, the I'm pretty sure the Bullet272bhs had no room to add to the mattress. The entertainment center was right at the edge of the bed. I'm 6'-2" and would have had to lay at an angle and curl up on my side. Unfortunatley I had to sacrifice a couple of things to get the larger bed on the Passport, but a good nights sleep means a lot to me!

If you're looking for a place close by and family-friendly, head to Hungry Horse Campground in Dorr....not to far from you. I know it's not Lake Michigan which we love, but it's also quiet!
