Living room slide out resetting itself many times ...

My large living room slide out takes about 5 or so resets to pull it in. It also take 3 or 4 resets to push it out. It has the full couch and residential fridge on it so very long, deep, and heavy. By resets I mean it just stops and after a minute or so it lets me continue again as it resets on its own.

Checked the cable system and they seem tight, square, etc. No strange noise anything obviously different then before but suspect its at the very upper end of its limits from day one. Its not a power issue as best I can tell as doe sit on shore power, generator, or from my large battery bank alone.

Is this likely just the motor getting weak from normal use or something else? Any rollers or similar that should be checked underneath it and if so how to? Any upgrades since 2016 to consider as better replacement?

Sounds to me like the 12v dc circuit breaker is failing. They typically only last a few years. Gollow the positive battery cable away from the battery and you'll find what looks like a terminal block or a Leggo block. They will trip under load then cool off and reset themself.

I have had a couple customers tell me that Norco (BAL) has an updated motor to replace the older ones that are showing this issue. I don’t know what the amp rating is on the motor but I would measure it.

Thanks everyone. This slide failed shortly after posting this during my troubleshooting with the gearbox stripping out. Luckily failed in my garage. Here is a separate full post I made on this:
