I'm not following the "pin lock in the emergency windows" mod. If I read the explanation correctly in another thread, I'd be concerned that it is defeating the ability to open the window fully to allow occupants to escape in the event of an emergency.

My trailer has three of these windows, two in the back of the trailer and one in the front bedroom. All of them have the "cantilevered rod" that pulls the window into the locked position and that is used to hold the window open for ventilation. In order to cause the window to fall away from the camper, opening the space for emergency use, that rod must travel through the space. Drilling a hole and putting a spring rolled pin through the rod would cause it to not be able to pull through and might trap occupants in the trailer during an emergency.

Just something to think about in the event of a fire or other emergency. Windows falling out unexpectedly are a nuisance, but being trapped inside a burning RV is much more of a problem.

I Think for me, I'd like the hole on the other side..... I've already noticed that wind will cause it to un-hook and close...

It's a very simple pull of the pin to allow the window to fully open. I'll try to get a picture posted as soon as I get it out of storage.

Here is the photo of the clip in place with the window open. It's very easy to pull the pin in case of emergency to fully open the window.

I did something similar, but added a draw string to the clip & run it to the "L" shaped latch to the right of the red knob, draw it up tight & the clip keeps the latch from going outside, the draw string keeps the window open at any desired amount. Sorry, rv in storage so no pictures.

From my experience don't waste your $$ on the propane gauges, they work great twice, full & empty, they always show full til empty nothing in between. At $20+ a piece, in my case 2 bottles, that's $40+ you could spend on something much more useful.
Also the surge protector/EMS should be moved to #1 on your list, installed 1st thing & don't plug rv in without one.
That goes to EVERYONE on this forum, tell all your friends with rvs, if you don't have one, hardwired or portable, GET ONE!!!

I just installed the AP Products Propane Tank Gas Level Indicators and they work great. I can monitor both tanks through bluetooth on my iPhone. Very pleased!

Where did you end up mounting your EMS?

I'm looking forward to your write-up of the WiFi setup!

I put it in behind the breaker panel.... and just snaked the data cable down that false wall... and drilled a hole big enough to get connector through and will mount display so it covers most of my data cable hole.

Since I got rid of my "Push-In Power Cord" I removed the box behind the Power Center and mounted mine there. There was lots of room once that boxed off area was removed. I mounted my display down low so it isn't too distracting with the numbers constantly flashing.

One thing that I would recommend anyone reading this post and considering adding all the useful and appealing upgrades is to remove each item and weigh it before installing. Keep a log of each weight and a running total. I think it may be eye opening to see how much the combined weights will accumulate into a large number. I wish I would have done this with mine. As a pilot, I know that every airplane is required to log any weight added (even paint) and where that weight resides in relation to the center of balance. No, it's not that critical in a camper but it can answer some questions later on like "why is my tounge weight so low or high? Why are my axles warped? Why are my tires wearing oddly? etc. We used to have a 30' Sea Ray boat before we became campers and it would amuse me to see how many new boat owners would complain about the reduced speed or handling issues (not getting up on plane fast enough for one). You could spot these "newbies" because when new owners would complain to the marina (a Sea Ray dealer) the first thing they would tell the newbie was to remove everything that they put in the boat and set it on the dock. Then take out the boat and see if performed OK. Well, it always did because the pile of stuff setting on the dock would look like an eviction of a 4 bedroom house with 6 occupants.

The Newer version (at least the 50amp version) has the removable cord now. so I had a lot of room behind the panel.

I would have really like to mount the display near the control panel by the door..... But that's probably going to require me to get into the underbelly.... and I'm not ready for that task yet!

That kinda puts a damper on the start of the camping season...
