Bed Room Door restaint

Picked up our 3721RL and found the strap that holds the bed room door open had pull off the screw. So I repaired and reattached at the same point the factory had.

Next time I run the slide in the strap was pulled off the fastener within an inch of travel.

What is the purpose of this restraint?

How did you fix the problem?

If it is what I think you are talking about it keeps the pocket door from slamming open and closed while driving down the road and causing damage to the door or wall.

The strap is useless and will continue to come undone. Use this.

That is what I used on my double sliding doors for the closet in the bedroom.
Assuming the original poster is talking about those.

Bedroom door strap

Sorry folks I did not make it clear enough. It is not the pocket door. It is not the sliding closet doors. It is the door that allows walking in and out of the bedroom. It is a normal swinging door.

Sorry, I thought every one could read my mind.

jwakeman, Howdy;

Use a cup-hook and a small bunie. wrap bunji around door knob and hook
both end to cup-hook. If it doesn't reach then hook one end of bunji around
door knob then hook other to cup-hook ... oh yea, close the cup hook up into
a closed loop so the bunji's hook doesn't slide out.

Aha! I had/have that issue as well. I rummaged around the garage and found a bungee cord with a 1 inch diameter plastic ball on it and looped one end around the bedroom door and the other end around the bathroom door. My doorknobs are about 8-10" apart. Keeps both closed. Hopefully doesn't pull the doorknobs off.
Do you have the 3 piece sliding glass shower door? If so, be sure you double check that little latch before travelling. I put some spring loaded adjustable curtain rods in the bottom tracks to prevent the doors from sliding if (when) the latch fails. Also put a piece of 90 degree 1" x 1" wooden corner trim on top of that. Then throw the bath mat over all that.
ONE place Keystone could have used their usual cheap cheesey plastic, but no they use GLASS! lol
