When you say Bullet, do you mean the Bullet Premier? The Cougar and the Premier are higher end trailers, but the regular Bullet, while very nice, is classified by Keystone as a lower range trailer.

Rather than shop by "name" I'd urge you to shop by floorplan and features that are important to you. All of Keystone's RV's carry the same 1 year warranty and they all use "essentially" the same components in construction. The differences are primarily in "fit and finish" meaning the quality of fabrics, thickness of foam cushions, type of mattress, kind of cabinet doors, etc. Often, in more expensive RV's, the "goodies" are standard while they're optional in the lower priced RV's.

I'd think the key to being happy with your RV isn't whether it's a Bullet or Cougar, but whether the floorplan fits your family's needs and whether it has the things you find important while camping.

These "What's the best..." or "What should I buy?" threads never yield much useful information unless you are willing to accept something that someone else picks out, because the only responses are going to be what the poster owns. Do some research, go to some RV shows, look on line, and pick a floor plan and a price that works for you.

Those two trailers are significantly different floorplans. It really depends on what you're looking for, what works for your family, whether having chairs at the "entry" is more important than having a rear bathroom? Even the number of people you can seat in the RV differs significantly. The Cougar would seat 6 or so easily while the Bullet would only seat 4 with the same amount of room for each person. There are so many differences in the two choices you mention that there's no real comparison, one with the other.

One has a shipping weight of 4828 and the other is 6239 In fact, the GVW of the Bullet is just slightly heavier than the shipping weight of the Cougar.

You'll need to be much more specific in what you're looking for to get any comparison between two RV's that are so significantly different. You're trying to compare two entirely different concepts in RV usability and design. The choice you make goes far beyond even the old "apples and oranges" comparison limits.

It seems you've made your choice. Then crunch the numbers against your tow vehicle and your wallet. Buying an RV is very much a personal choice and what's "right" for one family can be "totally wrong" for another.

Comparing the "best for me" RV is very subjective and personal. It's akin to asking someone to choose the qualities that are important when looking for your spouse based upon their desires..... "Ain't gonna happen"

Just kidding...... We bought the Bullet, but only because it met our requirements more closely than anything else. Our issues were size, layout, price, and we looked at lots of different units including Cougar. We bought used so were restricted to what was available in the used market.

Look past the name buy what fits closest to your wants/needs. Cougar and Bullet are both built similar.

What ever You buy up grade the mattress on the bed ....You will not be sorry.. I have a New Englander I bought after the trailer and was a good move at a high price. The old one was junk as most trailers have the cheep cheep 4" or 6inch. crap . Look at a 5er better to tow and more storage easy to park but cost more also Good Luck with Your choice Bushman said that...

We purchased our 2014 Cougar Xlite 28RLS ON October 4TH 2014 ,
We have camped in it for a total of 18 days so far (3 different outings)
We love it .
0 quality issues
Pulling it with the 5.7 Tundra should not be an issue.
We have a 2012 5.7 Hemi Ram 2500 & it doesn't even breath hard towing the trailer with the equalizer 4 point 10,000 WD hitch.
Plus the 28 RLS come with mattress upgrade & is comfortable to sleep on

We recently purchased a cougar and it works for us with the large bathroom at first I thought the counter would be in the way of the TV when sitting in the rear of the camper but after using it for the first time this week found out that it was not problem. I am currently pulling it with a 1012 F150 w/ eco boost V6. with out any problems
