Is it cheaper to repair or replace bath door

Just picked up camper from the storage lot for tomorrow's weekender to Lake Ray Roberts.

I discovered the bath door had parted with its structural integrity:

I suspect it could not handle the weight of the over-the-door-shoe-holder-catch-all that was hanging over it during transport. I don't have a picture of it, but this captures the spirit of what I'm talking about:

Post mortem suggests the door is held together entirely with glue, and no staples - at least on the outside.

I could staple it to secure it, but I've already got enough staples failing throughout the camper. Not a big fan of adding more.

I can lift the door to secure a latch in case I need to take care of business.

Looking and ready to receive advice.

By the looks of that and the delaminating trim in the top left corner, I would suspect a moisture issue had something to do with this.

They sure use crappy materials these days, eh?

From what I can see in your photos it looks like the skin separated from the door frame. It looks like a easy fix. You need to get some good wood glue from HD or Lowes and re-glue it. You don't need to use staples. It also looks from the pic that the door is out of square so make sure you square it before you glue it .

I would remove the door, lay it on some saw horses or a suitable workbench, square up the door and then glue the skin back to the door one side at a time. Use a good waterproof wood glue (I like Gorilla Wood Glue or Titebond)
I would also use a straight piece of 2x4 or something similar to make sure that there is equal pressure all along the edge so the skin is flat and even along the entire edge. Good luck

Thanks for the advise. Gorilla glue did the job and we are back in business, so to speak.
