Black Tank location
Ok Passport 2910 BH owners , is our black tank right under the "thinking chair" or offset with a pipe from the chair. When I step on the peddle I can see "presents " it does not seem deep to me, so it seems to me a pipe and stuff is not flowing down stream.

USUALY The black tank in a TT is under the throne but i am no expert on your model. sounds like you have the dreaded poopy pyramid! one trick is to fill the tank with water and pour ice cubes down the pottie and take her for a bumppy ride the flash the tank. Hopefully some one will know what you have and has a better solution. I do this when i tow from home to the seasonal site we stay at then flush when we get there.

The tank is very shallow, so that's probably it. The above tip should help clear things up.

Use lots of water to prevent this in the future.

I have a passport bunkhouse. not exact same model as yours. thought the same thing. thought I had a clog- or the dreaded pyramid. last trip out we put ice cubes in tank before leaving home. I also put a bottle of calgon water softener in. this is supposed to make tank slick so things won't stick. we camped for nine nights with family of four and only emptied tank the last morning. afterwards i used the black tank flush. I was hesitant to use the flush cause some have had trouble with them, but i turned on the water slowly and it seemed to work ok. I think the tank might be shallow and long, but with the dreaded black cover on the underside of camper i never looked to see.

rrohrer - There's nothing to fear about the black, coroplast underbelly cover. It's really quite harmless. It's what's inside of it (or not inside) that is cause for worry.

i just hate that it has everything covered, yet apparently doesn't provide much "winterization".

I like the black cover, and don't think it's mainly for winterization. It's more aerodynamic and it helps keep stuff cleaner and out of harm's way.

Thank you all for your feedback. I use the softner all the time, I am going to do the ice next time out but I think it is just shallow as was suggested. I will say my gauge did not work to well before I started using the softner and now that I us it gauge for black works good

If you're comfortable gettin' yer hands dirty, you could always throw on a LONG glove, and reach into the potty hole and give it a feel ! I did with mine, before it was ever used and was clean from the factory. It does seem shallow, and somewhat long in my 2013 Passport.
