Bent Axel Upgrade
After two trips to the alignment shop they figured out that the axel was bent. The left rear tire was chewing off the inside of the tire. Now I have been advised the axels are 3500 lb. on springs rated for 1750 lbs. each. I don't know how keystone comes up with 7200 GVW with that light of suspension. When I weighed the trailer loaded our first year with it ,it was 6900 lbs. I Think A hard hit on a couple of bridge joints On I79 coming home from Florida last fall did in the axel. I'm not replacing inferior components with the same though. It's getting 3000 lb. springs, 5200 lb. axels and new wheels with load range E tires. It already has the heavy duty shackle kit and wet bolts. That ought to hold it up better. Silly me thinking I was done with upgrades and mods for the year.
