2017 Keystone Outback 220URB Slide Out Manual Override

I have a 2017 Keystone Outback 220 URB, and while I haven't needed it yet, I am having a heck of a time finding the manual override for the slide out. I hope I don't have to cut a hole in the Artic Barrier to get to it. Can anyone tell me where this override is located?

Welcome to the forum

First thing we need to know is type of slide. If it’s cable the override will be in the middle on top of the slide where the motor/gearbox is.

If it’s a Schwintek ( two rows of slotted track on each side) you need to find the controller.

If its electric ( square tubes with teeth on the bottom) then the override will be on the opposite side of the slide, under the coroplast ( barrier). You should be able to remove enough screws to locate the motor/gearbox. You use a ratchet as I recall, don’t remember what size socket.

My previous travel trailer was a Keystone Outback. The over ride was at the motor itself. That mean cutting a hole in the underbelly, exposing the motor, attaching a specific socket that came with the camper (one for each slide motor), and using an electric drill to spin the motor, which in turn (pun intended), moved the slide. Not an easy task. But I figured all this out via YouTube videos, and hoped and prayed I'd never have to do it. We had the Outback for over 5 years, and never had to do it.

In my current Montana, the over ride is located above the slide (Inside), still have to attach this funky long socket and use a power drill to turn it though.
