Slides won't go out fully

Hi, my slides won't go out fully, and are about 1" and a bit from the wall. Because they won't go out, one slide covers part of the kitchen cabinet, and the other, the fridge.

What can I do to make them go out further? Or is that a keystone service area?

thx.

What year and make camper is it? Do you know what type of drive the slide uses? Are you handy/able to fix most things? Most likely it is an adjustment. With some more info we may be able to help guide you to the solution.

I read that you had a mobile tech at your trailer ... did you ask him to look at it?

Slides will not end up “flush” with the wall. The trim on the sides and top are coverings on top of what’s called a “horseshoe” and that horseshoe is what keeps the slide from falling out when you extend it.

There should be a seal on the wall that the slide rests against, is it?

My guess is no. I looked at a 24RKPR when I was buying so if his slides do not go all the way out he will not be able to open the fridge door on one side and a cabinet door on the other. (Opposing slides).
Seems he has a dealer who did not do a very good prep on the TT. The one I looked at (2019model) had cable slides. Dealer maybe did not adjust properly? Sorry for NewKey, the anticipation and then this. Does not sound like he is anywhere near his dealer.

As others have stated, sharing the model and year will really help. Also sharing more information like is this a new camper? Did the slides go out further in the past and now they don't or is this the first time you opened the slide?

My crystal ball isn't as good as it used to be.

Hello,

I have a 2021 Keystone Premier 24rkpr.

After reading a bit through the manual, I see I may have a problem will the initial set up. When I arrived on site, the shipper had already gone in the trailer, opened up the slides before levelling and putting the stabilizer jacks down.
I don't know if that makes a difference on not.

By the way, I am a she. This is my second trailer, but I might as well be a newbie all over again.

The manual is not very detailed. lol

There is no seal, just the wall and the edge of the wood trim around the slide (perhaps that is what you meant by seal?)
And the wood trim and wall are about 1" plus a little apart.

No, but I may try and see if he can come back. They are very busy.

And I am going to book my appointment with the keystone service dept right away, so I can try to get in before the 90 day warranty for slide adjustment.

Look again. If the slide is cable driven, the room will stop with the sides close to the wall. If you stop 1/2 way you can see the seal. I’m not sure it’s a problem as much as maybe just not understanding how a cable slide works. If you can post a pic of the slide side fully retracted, 1/2 way out and fully extended.

Hi, 2021 Keystone Premier 24rkpr. Cable with motor.

No, I am not handy. I am going to make an appt to take it in and get it adjusted under the 90 day warranty slide adjustment clause.
