Check that the bolts holding the hydraulic assembly to the framing are tight.
We recently returned home from a trip and took the 5th wheel over to the storage lot. Since it was going to be a while before our next outing, I went to pull the battery. Much to my surprise, the hydraulic reservoir and pump assembly was sitting on top of the battery case! Our 2013 Monte has two hydraulic slides plus the Lippert 6 point levelers.
The hydraulic assembly is (supposed to be) attached to the framing inside the right front storage compartment. Apparently, the two bolts that hold the brackets and assembly, had backed out over time (travel vibration?). Fortunately, nothing seemed damaged and we were able to find both bolts on the floor of the compartment.
It is not an easy task to put this back together. You must line up the holes in two steel plates and then line up the holes in the pump housing and thread the 3/4" bolts into the housing. There's little room to work and you basically are threading these by feel. I used a collection of blocks and shims to get it to the right height in order to thread the bolts. I also put some blue thread-lock on the bolts to hopefully prevent this in the future. Just another thing to check once in a while....
Sorry the pics are sideways, I'll remember to hold the camera correctly next time.
