Furrion radio reception poor.

I have had poor reception on my Furrion radio since we bought new in the spring. I was told by the salesman that it was hooked to the King Jack antenna, so I figured it was just going to be that way.
Today I pulled out the radio and found the antenna hooked up to the radio, and coiled in a small loop on the back with a twist tie. I unlooped it and ran it up the inside wall to the storage cabinet above. Layed
it out from one side to the other and stuck it in place. The reception is now unbelievable!!

I thought this information might help someone else.

Antenna

Just curious - did it help AM and FM reception? I have read many posts about the coiled up antenna and I need to check mine because my FM is almost nonexistent and my AM is pure static.

My first Furrion radio went Tango Union.
Dealer installed a new one under warranty and it does not work properly. I am going in for service Wednesday and hopefully they can make mine work. I am honestly thinking about just pulling Furrion out of the mix and getting an upgraded unit installed at Best Buy (or somewhere) and be done with it.

Mine is the same way. Dealer says that's the way it is.
