Trailer Light question

I have a new to me 2018 Cougar Half Ton 34 bhs. I used it this weekend and noticed while towing if I hit the breaks or turned on the blinkers all the outside safety lights would blink or be solid depending on which I did

I am not sure where to start. Any help or advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!!

Sounds like a grounding issue

Don't mean to sound like a smart butt but was it plugged in correctly, big flat on top? Is it a factory 7 pin plug on the truck? If not it maybe wired incorrectly?Click image for larger version

Yes it was all plugged in correctly. Worked fine the first two times I used it.

Humm back to thinking. If it worked before first place I would check/ look is the junction box where the cord connects to trailer wiring on the tounge

It sounds to me like a tail/brake light bulb is "grounded"... Take the covers off the tail lights, make sure the bulbs are properly seated. They are 1157 bulbs and they are easy to "jiggle out of the socket" and ground out. When that happens, the tail/running lights will light when the brakes/turn signal is powered on.....
