Wires!
Need Help, we have a 2007 Sprinter 274RLS and we forgot to unplug the trailer and moved the truck. It pulled the wires from the junction box and we are struggling to match them all up correctly.. Can anyone help?

Can you post a picture of what you are working with?

Welcome to the forum
OOPS! anyway here is a link to the color codes of the wires from the TV. Your going to have an extra black that goes to the break away and back to the blue brake wire. Most trailers DO NOT use the yellow (reverse) wire.

It's not the plug, it's right at the junction box

It looks like most of those colors match up? I can’t quite tell from the picture. Did you look at the example wiring diagrams that were posted?

There's a blue wire on the plug for the trailer but where it goes into the junction box there is no blue wire that the wires got pulled out of. And the 2 wires for the breakaway, they both look black he's not sure where those go.

Maybe you can look at the wires going to your brakes and see what color it is. The blue wire from the connector is for the brakes. If everything else matches up but 1 or 2 wires then you have narrowed it down quite a bit.

Chucks previous post seems to say the black wire goes to the break away switch and then to the blue (brake) wire.

The break away will have two black wires. One goes to the constant hot (battery +) and the other goes to the brake wire which is normally blue.

I like using a junction box like this.
https://www.amazon.com/Trailer-Wirin.../dp/B0053GIR1U
If you just use what you have get rid of the wire nuts on there using butt connectors. If some of the wiring doesn't seem to match up color wise use a jumper wire and do one wire at a time. For example find one of the turn signal wires coming from the TV then touch trailer wires until the correct light works connect those wires and move onto another. Not difficult just time consuming

Use an Ohm meter to figure out what wire is ground on the trailer. Then, knowing that, apply 12 volts to each of the other wires and see what lights up. If nothing lights up, see if you can hear the brakes activating. Doing this will take time, but you should be able to narrow it all down.
