Furnace fuse blown

So we are using our new 2015 Laredo 23RB as an auxiliary bedroom for the Christmas season. The temperature here in California has been rather cool, 30 to 40, and so the heater has gotten a workout. Yesterday my wife's brother and wife came in cold, because they ran out of gas, and today they came in cold because the furnace fuse blew. Could it be a weak fuse? Is something wrong with the furnace? Is something else on that circuit?

Put another one (same rating) in and go again. If it pops again, post back and we can start troubleshooting.

I replaced the fuse, and it worked for about a week, then blew again. It then started blowing consistently. I pulled the wood louver to get access and wiggled the wires. Heater worked, but I went into the trailer yesterday and it's blown again.
When we first got the trailer, turning on the heater set off the smoke detector. We felt that was just because it was new, but maybe there's a wire too close to the heating element.

Almost sounds like a blower motor issue without being there and testing it out.

That's what I'm leaning towards, or a failed control board.

On our 1st trip in a new Cougar 303RLS. The 1st night on our way to FL the temps dropped to 32. The furnace came on and after a short time the fuse would blow. After the 2nd fuse we had the fireplace going which made it bearable. Pulled early for farther south. Emailed Atwood and received a quick response ~~ use a Bussman 22715 15 amp fuse it is a slow burn and light blue in color. He said they were available at auto supply stores, but not the 4 I tried. Maybe should have tried HVAC supplier? I finally ordered them from Wiretek.com this morning. Hope they are here Monday but now in FL until 2/7/16 so don't know when they will be needed. Called my dealer and scheduled it for warranty.

So I pulled the furnace, and noticed a lot of rainwater under it. I also noticed the control board was wet. The exhaust vent has louvers that open upwards, so rainwater flows in, and the exhaust pipe slants downward into the furnace. It seems like it's just made to pour the rainwater in. I'd post a picture, but I can't figure out how.
