Does anyone have any recommendations for Oregon Coast RV Parks?

From what I have learned from other campers their are a lot of nice parks along the Oregon Coast. The one we have stayed at was Beverly Beach State Park located by Newport.
Beverly Beach State Park, A
198 N.E. 123rd Street
Newport, OR 97365
1-541-265-9278
1-800-452-5687 Reservation
1-800-551-6949 Info
Access to the beach, nice trails, stream flows through the place, back in's and pull through, check it out on line.

We have stayed at a lot of Parks on the coast and we have enjoyed all of the State Parks on the Oregon coast.
Fort Stevens - State Park
Nehalem Bay - State Park
Beverly Beach - State Park
Washburne Beach - State Park
South Beach - State Park
Honeyman - State Park
Bullard's Beach - State Park
Harris Beach - State Park
Tillicum Beach - USFS
Baker Beach - USFS
All these Parks are excellent.

x2. Great campsites! Very popular and hard to get into without reservations made well in advance.

definitely make reservations. I see people all the time driving for hours inland to find a place. Oregon State parks are 9 months in advance. Federal are 6 months.
Private RV parks sometimes have space when the state parks are full but they fill up fast also.

Hope you have a great time!
Happy camping.

Yep, pretty much take your pick!!! You are late trying to get reservations in any of the Coastal parks for summer.
Go to reserve America and see what you can find.
PS: They are also great in the off season!! We spent New Years week at South Beach SP had some great weather.

Being a former Oregonian, have to agree, the state parks along the coast can't be beat. You will have a hard time getting in, but early in the morning, during the week days, you have a good chance. Forget week-ends or late afternoons.

We enjoyed our stay at Turtle Rock...

And I noticed someone here from Beaverton... We had to have all four tires replaced there one year during one of our 6000 mile west coast trips! Seems like that was close to where we saw some gliders being towed into the sky!

If you want something on the "deluxe" side you could also check out Cannon Beach RV resort. By deluxe I'm talking heated pool, hot tub, cable tv, wifi, convenience store, rec room, laundry, gas station, etc. You are not right on the beach though (few minute drive or doable walk) and they are a bit spendy!

Sea Perch RV Park

This is probably the best RV park on the coast. It is just south of the small town of Yachats, near Florence. For one thing it is directly on the beach. We looked for the perfect place last year and discovered Sea Perch. It was the only one I found on the West side of 101. They have about 6 sites that back up to the ocean, which is perfect for a toy hauler.

Since it is right on the beach, prepare to pony up some serious money. i think it runs around 70.00 per night. We loved it and are scheduled to go back over the Labor Day weekend.

We really enjoy both the Honey Bear Campground and Ireland's RV Park in Gold Beach area. Also Harbor Vista Campground in Florence, Oregon.

Don't forget Beachside State Recreation area. We are headed there tomorrow. Got a site backed up to the ocean...no, not Site 63. You have to be online with your finger poised on the "book" button the second the window opens to get that one. Even then you might not get it. No driver side slides in that space, either, but the absolute best ocean view from a camper that you can get.

Been there, done that Murphsmom- I usually stay up until 12:01am on the day the sites I want open up just to try and get them. I had been doing my reserving at 5am when I woke up but on one camp trip when we were going to a place in the mountains that had 5 on the lake camp sites, by 5am, four were already gone and we got the last one!!
