Help with receiving new Outback Terrain

Hope to get some advice from seasoned folks on receiving our new Outback Terrain 273TRL in late January. I know these units are built in Indiana and is scheduled to be built in mid January for delivery later that month and weather there can be very icy/snowy in winter - what should I have the dealer do when we receive the unit to be sure it does not suffer issues with driving on ice/snow (salt, etc.) roads while delivering it to coastal Georgia?
Thanks for your help - southerners not well versed in how to clean up after ice and snow....

Welcome to the forum, look around, you'll find a lot of good information on how to "receive" a new RV.

Download the PDI checklist on the forum at:

There are a number of threads on the forum concerning rust/corrosion on the frame, axles and running gear. If it were mine, I'd want the dealer to do a complete wash of the underside making sure to get all the salt off the chassis.

Enjoy the Terrain

We purchased a 321TBH in June of this year and LOVE it. Terrain is one of the best models out there in my humble opinion

Hi. I would demand in writing that the dealer power wash the entire underside within 24 hours after it pulls into the lot. The metal framing, fittings, propane lines, suspension, etc are not designed for salt exposure like motor vehicles are.
I once took delivery of an rv in the winter and found a nice mess underneath in the spring. I'll never let that happen again.
