Welcome to the forum
That fan is the cooling fan for the converter. Any time your plugged into shore power, the converter will supply 12V to the trailer and charge the battery. It produces heat and as the load increases so does the heat and the fan speed to cool it off. The Rec Con breaker is the breaker that supplies 120V to the converter.

As Chuck pointed out that fan is for your converter to keep it cool...and you need that breaker on so the converter will run. It provides the 12vdc to the trailer when plugged in but also keeps your batteries charged. Make sure they are full of water if you haven't.

Most likely the battery either deeply or completely discharged while in the shop. The converter is now working hard to charge the battery.

ok, the battery shows fully charged and the breaker is on and fan still running.
Could there be an electrical short somewhere? The Dealer changed out the GFCI plug because it was getting reset after pulling the trailer on a trip.

Some converters have fans that are ambient temperature activated such as the Progressive Dynamics that I just switched to with my Lithium upgrade.
It will run the fan even with fully charged batteries when the ambient temperature is over 100F.

How is the battery showing fully charged? If you are looking at a display panel it will read the output voltage of the converter as the battery charge. Turn the converter off for an hour then check the voltage with a seperate meter. If the battery was fully discharged it may be damaged requiring replacement.

battery was showing 12.5 v charge but apparently not good enough to take full charge according to converter. NEW battery every thing fine. Thanks for all the suggestions. hopefully will help others.
