Trying to locate a second air conditioner

In the vent opening in the bedroom is a sticker that says:

Second AC installation requires:
RV Products AC with Gateway
597263 A/C - Gateway Box Assembly
661579 A/C - 13.5 BTU - Mach 3 - Ducted Quiet - White Shroud

The problem is, I have been unable to locate these items anywhere. The part numbers listed on the label don't appear to cross to anything. I used the "Contact Us" function on RV Products Shop website and was promptly ignored. I then sent an email directly to them at [email protected] and again have been ignored.
I figured that maybe they just aren't direct sales oriented and can't be bothered with a mere mortal such as myself so contacted a dealership and gave them the information. They called me back and said they are unable to find anything with those numbers on them.
Quite frustrating.

So, my question(s) -
Does anybody on here know what it is I need to be ordering for my camper, and can you point me to a source?
Even better would be somebody that purchased their 2022 Cougar Half Ton with the optional second A/C already installed that would be willing to open up the cover and supply me with the part numbers from the stickers.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Try these number

AC 48203-066
Gateway 9430-5501

I have also been looking at adding a second AC and after a lot of research I decided to
climb up on the roof and got the numbers off the other AC unit.

That's a Coleman Mach 3 air-conditioner the gateway is probably for In Command. I don't know which inside parts you have mine is just the intake with no controls..

As a note: you aren't limited to a 13.5 BTU unit.. I replaced mine with a 15K Mach 15

Mine should not have controls on the ceiling unit either.
I thought about going with the 15K unit but worry about having too much air conditioning. A large air conditioner in a small space will result in short cycling which is not a good thing.
While I tend to think that the designers chose 13.5K BTUs for a reason, they are probably the same people that decided putting the bathroom sink with shower and kitchen sink on two equal sized gray tanks was a good idea...

I'd much rather have to cut one off than need more and not have it.. But here in Texas even two 15K sometimes ain't enough..

I actually like that plan.. I put a valve on the terminal end of the pipe and then open both the gray tanks so I don't have to run the portable dump tank near as often with the DW's 3 bathes a day...

I doubt that the engineering dept dictated a 13.5 K over a 15K unit due to over capacity. My guess would be the bean counters made that call to keep the price point competitive.

Too much air conditioning? That is like too much money, being too good looking, being too smart... is too much air conditioning a thing? NEVER heard any complaints about too much only too little (me being one of those whining). An RV is a box with little to no insulation and single pane windows and slide outs which loose cooling, etc. Go big or go home in the A/C world.

George: they are making dual pane windows for RV’s, but I agree there isn’t too much AC in an RV.

Well, it's not like the 15K is physically larger than the 13.5K unit, and it does weigh the same.
It occurs to me that since the system is ducted throughout the camper, it doesn't really matter which end of the loop the A/C is located at, either.

Alright, I'm in. I called the dealership and put the brakes on the 13.5k unit and will go out to the camper to get the part numbers for the A/C and gateway for the existing 15k unit.

Thanks for the thoughts, guys!

Thank you!

I've found that there is a difference between a 48204-666 and a 48204-6660. The 48204-666 is not part of the quiet series and the 48204-6660 is part of the quiet series and is also a special order item.

the 48204-6660 is what is in my living room.
I have been looking for a ceiling assembly that matches mine, but the closest I have come so far is called 8430A633 ChillGrill - cool only - white. It doesn't really look like mine, but it looks like it might work.

Very frustrating that in a unit that was manufactured five months ago, the sticker specifying the correct A/C for that camper only lists meaningless part numbers from a company that has no phone number, doesn't respond to emails and provides absolutely no information about this product on their website.

Only if you want that AC to operate through your RV In Command System.
If you just put in a roof AC it can still tie in go the ductwork and electric is already there. Not sure if the second AC breaker is already in the box.
You will install a second thermostat and thermostat wire down from roof air. So fishing the thermostat wire is the extra.

For a AC to work with your In Command involves buying the AC, a gateway, and other components they list.
My opinion, it’s not worth the extra hassle.

Having it work with iN Command is a requirement for me.
Personally I think I really messed up by taking what was available on the lot instead of ordering what I actually wanted.
I really didn’t want to wait seven months for a new camper.
So now I’m playing catch up by installing options I wanted from the beginning and even then I’m still having to settle for stuff being not quite the same as factory installed.

That is a great idea!
I bought a rooftop unit from them years ago and was very happy with their service.

How about direct from Airxcel for the ceiling assembly?

Airxcel site also lists the 'quiet' series as 'in production'...so that does look like a toughie to find. Plenty of the 'loud' ones available however.

Did you find your gateway? I see those available on eBay.

Each of those ceiling units has some kind of air outlet. The OEM ceiling unit in my camper does not. In fact it is really nothing more than a holder for the air filter.

I did purchase a gateway on eBay and have it in hand so that's a step in the right direction.
These things have to be available somewhere, what are dealers doing about warranty repairs?
I've tried contacting Airxcel directly with absolutely no success. These air conditioner manufacturers and vendors have done a great job of isolating themselves. It seems email is the only way to reach them and they aren't responding to that.

I'm going to reach out to PPL today to see what they might be able to do.

edit: PPL was a bust.

I did find a video online that showed the OEM ceiling unit for the bedroom (front) air conditioner. At least it confirms the ceiling unit for the front A/C is the same as the rear A/C.

I just purchased the air conditioner and gateway at CampingWorld. They took quite a while to find the correct part numbers and they ended up having both in stock.
