More info needed. Age, model of trailer, any recent battery install? Dual batteries? 6v or 12v batteries?

Sounds like your batteries are connected in series instead of parallel. I’d check that right away. If that’s not the problem, definitely need more info

Parallel. You want to double the amp hours not the voltage. This image shows the difference.

Basically, positive lead from the rv to pos on battery 1, pos to pos on batteries, neg to neg on batteries, neg lead from rv to neg term on battery 2

Are you connected to shore power? If the batteries are wired properly, the voltage could be coming from the converter. If you’re connected to shore power, unplug and see what the voltage is

in·command can get goofy sometimes..i’d reset it by holding the power button in until it reboots …then let go..mine loses temp settings and other things if it sits awhile…also verify voltage with a meter …i’d think that if the rv is seeing 27 volts it would probably fry the in·command fuse or some of your lights would be burnt out…may just be a display error

You can measure the actual 12 volt signal being sent to the BCM by measuring on the BCM itself and the correct terminal leads for in coming power and ground

If the ground connection from BCM to chassis is loose or corroded it would also cause flaky readings and operation

If you actually have 27 volts to anything in the RV it would have burned those items up..

Use a multimeter to test and verify battery and converter output and go from there

Without year , make and model of the RV as well as what version of In Command it makes trying to provide accurate assistance almost impossible

OP said, "It is a 2022 Keystone Cougar 290RLS". Not sure if that helps but if I were a youngun, I would go to iN-Command school, become and expert and charge for giving advice on this electronic marvel. I could probably get rich but I am not really young anymore.... sigh

Well it's been a couple days - I assume the OP resolved the issue or the camper burned to the ground.

Sometimes life happens and more important things demand your time and attention. Some folks come to the forum and use it like a help desk. The folks just looking for an answer to their problem often will find the answer and not return or not find the answer and just give up and go away.

If some computer wizard checked forum usage by username, statistically there is likely a large percentage of one and done type users. They may stay on for one or two posts with an issue or complaint and not to be seen again. That would be an interesting usage report. Probably not worth the effort but guessing 25 percent of all users post once or a couple times in their first thread and don't come back.

There's definitely a significant number. Getting feedback on what they found, or how the issue was resolved is a great tool for others with the same issue. Unfortunately life happens or they just don't care about others ( the use the forum as a help desk) and don't check back.

Either way it's ok. When your desire is to help someone it's nice to find out what it was. Personally I don't need an "attaboy your the greatest" from the OP and when someone dissapears I hope it's because they found and resolved their rv issue and not due to some serious life issue. Point is, when a member joins, asks questions then doesn't return it's not personal and I wish them well. That's just the way most forums work.
