Hit a Mule Deer 200-250 lbs in rural Rocky Mountains in late afternoon in a Class C RV. Impact slightly right of center on RV, speed was about 35-40 when impact occurred. Shoved RF quarter panel into passenger door well, jamming passenger door. Antlers cracked windshield, lots of deer fur in radiator. No air bag deployment. Deer immediately got up from road shoulder and ran up the hill, too fast to count antler points. No injuries to occupants, both utilizing seat belts.
Damage to RV about $19,000 and 7 months to get repair parts. Still looking for a heavy duty grill guard, if the RV cosmetic body parts hadn't exploded into the radiator could have possibly driven away.
Hope the passengers are OK.
