Welcome to the forum. Did you just acquire this trailer and this is the first use? Have you used the camper previously and it worked and now it doesn't? Do you hear the unit running but no air movement or little air movement? What type of control, a thermostate, a touch screen, or??? What are the control settings set at? The more info you share, including the full model number of the camper the better.

Welcome to the forum. It would benefit everyone greatly if you provided the year, make, model of your trailer; how many A/Cs do you have etc. I just posted info on the blade system yesterday for another member. If you do a search for "blade system" and search all posts the post will be the first one there;

https://www.keystoneforums.com/forum...rchid=14423400

The number of A/Cs, size (btu), number of vents, placement and any number of variable can affect the airflow you have.

This is a new camper 2021 keystone premier first time using ac thermostat controlled
It has the new blade style cealing outlets
Ac is cold and dumps straight down at housing but hard to feel any airflow thru the ducts

What trailer model; how big is it? How many A/C units? Have you watched that video and adjusted the "blade" registers?

On most recent air conditioner ceiling panels, there is a "dump feature". When the louvers on the ceiling panel are open, nearly all the air flows "straight down" and into the area directly under the air conditioner unit. That provides for "quick cooling in the immediate area".

To distribute the cool air throughout the trailer, close the "dump feature louvers" and the air will be redirected to the registers located throughout the trailer.

With the "dump louvers open" there is very little air flowing through the ductwork and to the blade registers. Close the "dump louvers" and see if there's a marked increase in airflow through the ductwork to the registers.

John's answer will likely solve your immediate air flow issue.

Additionally it's a worthwhile effort to take the time to pull the covers off if each of your AC vents to make sure that the vent shaft is well sealed to the duct so that no excess air is escaping into the attic. Also make sure that the vent shaft is flush inside duct and not sticking up into the duct, which also blocks some air flow.

There are other mods you can do to incrementally increase air flow but starting with the basics will help maximize your stock set up.

Yep, I missed the part about "dumping straight down". Close that vent and I bet things improve a lot. On another note; that trailer is 36' long and you are in MO. I doubt one A/C is going to keep you cool in the summer.

I do close the dump…
I have installed a second ac unite yesterday
That helps with the bedroom and overall
I just thought it would be better in the living room
This camper is parked permanently and a carport is on the way we will see if that helps

Dumb question, but did you get the new AC tied into the ducts as well? Or is it just a stand-alone?

Ah, then it isn't going to help your air flow at all. It will definitely help cool the area around its air dump but not throughout the coach.

We had a 2nd AC installed last Fall and made sure it was tied into the ducts. This Summer it has provided a vastly improved experience with much stronger air flow and a cooler trailer.

It feels to me that a 2 AC system triples the air flow over a single AC. That also means that the air being pushed into the coach is that much cooler since it has much less time to get heated up in the roof ducting.

IF your coach was set up to add a 2nd AC, and IF you have the racetrack duct system, then you would benefit from changing your ceiling plenum for one that uses the ducts. Otherwise you will have to adjust to using what you've got and perhaps using a couple fans to help move the air around.

^^^^Paul you would benefit greatly if you ducted that A/C into your duct system. If it's just a stand alone unit it will make it cold enough in the bedroom to hang beef but you can't get it out of there very efficiently. If you choose not to connect it to the ducts you need to get some fans positioned at the doorway of the bedroom to push that cold air out.

The "dump feature" John described, as it was explained to me, is called "quick cool" and intended to quickly bring the temperature down in the vicinity of the roof top A/C unit. The unit pulls air in from the cabin and if you crank on the A/C and it draws in real warm air from all over the cabin, it takes longer to cool. With the dump closed, air is directed into the duct work.

I do have a modern Dometic Brisk II unit on my camper and have installed an RV Airflow system (rvairflow.com). It is a piece of formed styrafoam that closes the dump area and gaskets the air to the ductwork perfectly and significantly increases airflow through my vents. The intake and outlets for the ducting on my camper were poorly sealed. I had sealed with HVAC tape but this gizmo forces air through the ductwork more efficiently.

If you installed a non-ducted A/C in the bedroom and if it is set up for a ducted A/C, you will need to purchase another lower section and connect to the thermostat for a zone 1 and zone 2. I would give the non-ducted a chance and if you don't close the door to the bedroom, perhaps a fan to distribute the air (as already suggested) makes sense.

Also, look in your ducts at each end. We have a 312BH and I found that our ducts extend past the vent in the bunkroom and the main bedroom. I put foam in the duct to prevent the air from going past the vent and that helped a lot.

I have the 'same setup'. Where the AC worked fine it really didn't circulate too well in the bunk room and main bedroom unless I closed the main AC vent. Even then we left the main bedroom door open at night due to this. I've modified the AC with RV Airflow system for our AC.

https://rvairflow.com

Two items...the 'distribution vents' were not really sealed that well in the original install so that I'm sure contributed to the problem. The device about essentially blocks the main vent of the AC more than just closing the vent and then "smoothly" directs the air to the distribution system to minimize the turbulence and diminished flow. It seems to work and we can now close our bedroom door although the bunk room still doesn't get a bunch of air...the grandkids don't like the door closed anyways.
