Fridge not working well, this might help.

So the Dometic double door fridge in my 2019 fifth wheel had to be replaced. It never really worked that well and always struggled to maintain proper temps. Fridge is in the slide so checked the "upper venting" and it seemed to have been done correctly at the factory.
I installed fans in the upper vent cover hoping that would help, and it seemed to although not by much. Then the fridge just died, it was "blocked" and needed a new cooling unit.
New cooling unit was installed but didn't seem to work any better than the old one.
One night while lying in bed and chewing on the "why isn't this working right" it hit me, I wonder if the Auto level system is working correctly? Long story short, it wasn't, so I proceeded to properly leveled the trailer then did the Zero point calibration on the leveling system and whammy, with the trailer being properly leveled the fridge started working much much better! Doh, should have thought of this sooner. And as an added bonus water no longer pools in one end of the shower

I hope this helps someone else with the same problem, I realize many here will already know about this but I'm also sure there will be others that don't.
Man sometimes it's easy to miss the obvious!!

If the trailer is level enough for the average person to walk around inside and sleep inside, it's level enough for the refrigerator.

Well a little late now, but the best move we max with our refer is to upgrade the cooling unit to JC Refrigeration 12 volt compressor unit. Refer temps between 32 to 35, freezer 0 to 6.

Rhagfo: I really didn't have much choice in the matter as the cooling unit was covered under extended warranty, but good to know about JC refrigeration units.

So far the fridge with the new cooling unit and proper leveling is working much better than the old one ever did.
That being said, so far July has been cooler than normal here so hopefully once things heat up here it continues to work well, fingers crossed!
