Slideouts not staying in

We have a 2001 Montana camper. We have been working out of town and living in it for the past nine months. When we brought the slides in, they closed tight against the camper then leak out about two inches within a few minutes.

Any ideas of what the problem might be and how to repair it. Other than this incident, the camper and the extended stay were great.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts and input.

First, ........ Welcome to the forum.
From your description I assume you have hydraulic slides. If so have you checked the fluid level for possible leaks. Lippert has manuals on-line that may help.

Look closely at each place where the silver ram comes out of the hydraulic cylinder. This should be visible where the ram penetrates the frame. There is a small black seal there on each ram and I had one that was hanging out. Leaked fluid real bad. Slides were coming out while I was driving.

Each slide has a value to shut if off so you can move one at a time. Pull your slides in and then shut all the valves. The one that still slides out has a leak. If none of them slide out then you have a leak somewhere common to all the slides upstream of the valves and a call to Lippert is in order.
