I love technology. Before selling our house I turned it into an Alexa controlled dream home. Are there any Alexa controllers available for 12v systems? My next option is adding a RaspberryPi and linking through my network. Trying to keep it as simple as possible since I will probably be trading this rig in on a larger one in about a year.

If you're talking about Alexa specific then log in to your Alexa account and they list all brands that work with Alexa. Same thing with Google assistant. They basically are apps that can control wifi devices from different manufacturers via voice commands.

If you're using the term Alexa to describe wifi control then there are many, many devices available for 12vdc that may require a different phone app to control.

I’ve found several devices that use an app but haven’t found any that Alexa will control that do not require 120v. Also most light switches require the neutral wire connection. I can do everything with my RaspberryPi but was hoping not to have to add another component to the controls. Plus voice commands are not very reliable with the RasPi.

Shouldn’t take a very big inverter to run it

It’s not the fact of having to have an inverter, it’s the hassle of running the power over to the switch control. My control panel only has 12v on it and would have to run a heavier circuit to sustain the extra power draw for the inverter to stay stable. Plus that’s a little counter productive to go 120 to 12 to 120. Every conversion there is a power loss.
