Has anyone camped around Capital Reef in Utah, if so do you have any recommendations for a three day stay around that area?

We go there almost every year around Memorial Day. The Fruita campground is the only developed campground in the park. Dry camping with water available, flush toilets and a dump station. Super nice if you can get a reservation
There is some BLM camping just outside the north entrance if you like a real boondocking experience. Wonderland RV Park is great place to stay if you prefer full hook ups.

Thanks for mentioning Fruita! We’re seriously thinking if it for this shoulder season…. Late Sept or October.

It looks like our 32 foot Arcadia will fit but it said a 5 day segment required… did it mean we had to book for 5 days?

The Recreation.gov website is just letting you advance or backup the calendar view 5 days at a time. You can book 1 to 14 consecutive nights depending on site availability.

Fruita is a great campground and also very popular. I've seen 40' toy haulers, big rig motorhomes and all sizes of other RVs. When you look online at rereation.gov you will be able to see the site lengths and availability. Fall can be busy since folks camp there to pick apples from the orchards that are part of the park.
What other sites are you planning to see?

We were there in June. Couldn't get a spot in the Fruita campground. We stayed at Wonderland RV in Tory, its not too far from the park. Nice to have hookups to run the AC.

We’re still in the planning stages, but from our spring trip to Zion and Bryce we know we want to continue our exploring🤔. Zion was beautiful however the crush of humanity was a challenge. I’m hoping as we travel further North and East from there it will get easier…..I do remember my Grandfather talking about Canyonlands so we’re going to visit. My g’parents visited in the 50’s. Could be fun

Canyonlands will be nowhere near as crowded as Zion or Bryce. Definitely another great area to explore. If you're interested in Puebloan ruins and Indian culture, I'd suggest touring around Blanding and Monticello. Edge of the Cedars State Park is very interesting. There are several unique ruins around the Bears Ears National Monument as well. One place we really enjoyed was Hovenweep National Monument. Hovenweep campground makes it an easy 2 day stay with the RV. You might also give Monument Valley a thought.
All suggestions will be significantly less populated with people.
