Rotate them rascals

Just back from a near 10k trip. Towed the 2018 Cougar on brand new Endurances without a hitch. Back now doing tune up/fix ups before heading out again in August. What are the thoughts on tire rotation? Front to back? Side to side? I run a tpms system and had no drop from start to finish. Just looking to get the most of these new shoes.

Rotate in an "X" pattern. That way they get to rotate in the opposite direction on the opposite side.

I've never rotated. If they are wearing uneven, something is wrong with the trailer. The tires are not, like on an automobile, where 2 of them are drive train tires. They just roll and brake. So, if you have uneven wear, something is wrong with the trailer.

Yep, what Dutch said. I've never rotated in many years of towing RV's and heavy boats.

We never rotated our tires on our previous campers or boats. But our current camper has three slides on one side and one on the other. I've followed it going down the highway (pulling the boat) and noticed it does lean toward the heavier side. Plus those tires always read hotter when we stop and do a check. So for the first time ever we're considering rotating them. Thoughts? Just because the left side has soooo much more weight on them.

Thanks in advance!!

During annual bearing pack I'd rotate the tires, not due to wear or anything other than they were off & why not. I wouldn't jack it up just to rotate tires.
If you want to rotate then do so, they're not like vehicle tires that steer, but it won't hurt a thing by rotating.

That's a good reason to rotate. At least you can "spread out" the wear. I rotate mine when wheels are already off for inspecting/repacking bearings and inspect brakes.

I use the auto level system to raise one side at a time and pull both tires when I pack wheel bearings. If I remember, I put them back on in the other position. If I dont pay attention to what I’m doing when I take them off, I just put them back on and who knows if it the same position or not.
