Tank monitor shock

I was working under my 5th wheel today and my sewage tank was exposed. There is one probe by itself with a white wire and on the other side there are three probes with different coloured wires. When my forearm touched the white wire on the tank probe I got a shock. I unplugged the trailer from 110V and no longer got a shock. When I plugged it back in I again received a shock. Any Idea what could be causing this? The tank is clean and my monitors are working

I recommend that you use a voltage meter to determine voltage reading. The tank gauges operate on 12v. Should have nothing to do with whether the 120v shore power is plugged in or not unless you don't have a battery installed.
If the voltage source is related to shore power, you likely have a ground issue which could be serious.
Using your volt meter, put negative in the ground under the rv and place positive on various steel frame components under the rig and see if you get same voltage.
If you do, then you need to look further for the source.

It's also possible that your battery needs to be replaced. I had one go bad, and the 12 volt system worked fine as long as I was plugged in.
