Maybe I'm the oddball.
Trying to figure how being blind or sighted has anything to do with wiping. I'm sighted & don't need that to see to know if I'm done wiping.
This is too deep for me.
I also don't need or want a bidet...

I thought political threads were banned! This whole thread stinks. Shows what happens when the inmates are not allowed out into the exercise yard for an extended period!

Since Mr Whipple isn’t around, can we squeeze some more out of this thread?

The only reason for a bidet or TP is if you can "squeeze one more" out of this thread..... [URL=http://www.sherv.net/]

When Archie Bunker and Edith rented a room on vacation it had a bidet. Archie looked at it and complained that " the bubbler is too damn low to the floor."
That's the best I could do for just one more...

I used to spin the toilet paper like I was on Wheel of Fortune. Now I turn it like I’m cracking a safe.

For those who are still interested...
My son sent me a URL for this how-to article. Looks like an interesting unit. According to the instruction manual, there's no battery involved.
If you're not big on "cold" water, they have several models.

You can buy left- and right-sided bidets. Check out the Brondell brand. We had to put a left-handed unit in our camper.

So you have to use your hand and the bidet is used to wash your hand? I don't think I like that idea, besides, I'm ambidextrous so what if I want to change hands?

Nor near us!
Some stores do have TP usually single rolls with 4 roll limit, but most still sell out as fast as it goes on the shelf, wouldn't classify it as plenty.

I will say, this has been a fun thread to read. I kind of hate to see it come to an "end" some day!
So, OK, for all the "uninformed" here's the photo of the bidet in our Montana High Country Fifth Wheel. Yes, it's a "left handed" Bidet. The ones in the house are right handed:
Now, the details of how we do this.
First, our toilet paper usage has dropped to literally zero. About the only thing we use TP for is blowing our noses now.
Second, yes, the "bottom" gets "soggy" (Soggy Bottom! Good one, heh?) Anyway, the "bottom" is clean now. It's as clean as coming out of the shower.
Now, let's get down-and-personal now and share some "too-much-information" (TMI) about ourselves a moment.
What happens when you take a shower? Well, I suppose when each of us are done, we grab a towel and dry off.... well ... don't we? Doesn't drying off including drying ... you know ... well ... "down THERE", and doesn't "IT" get dried too, front and back? What happens next? We hang the towel on the hook and save it to shower with tomorrow!
ewe! eue!! Oh how gross! Yuck! So nasty! Horrible! how awful! It touched me ... "down there" ...... Really?????? probably NOT! The towel hangs there and tomorrow you use it again once it dries. I don't think any of us who go camping use a new washed, fresh bath towel every single day, for every single person in the camper. There is 2 of us, and if we go camping for a week, we don't even have 14 towels in the camper to use a fresh one every day ... for 2 people, IF we do laundry once a week!
More than likely, you ... like us ... use that same bath towel several days in a row until it begins to smell stale. Now .... think about this .... I know, ..... "too much information"..... that's a lot of butt wipping on that towel.....
Now.... since YOU do the same thing (most likely), how GROSS is it anyway?????
So, what we do with the Bidet, we have two hooks on the wall, below the bath towels, one for her, one for me, and we have color coded wash cloths we leave hanging there with only one purpose ... to dry the butt!
Because wash cloths are small, we do change them every day. We purchased a dozen each color coded, for her, and for me. One color code for the camper, another color code for the house.
If we have guests, we welcome them to try the Bidet and use toilet paper to "dry" and just flush. So far, the few who have tried ALWAYS come out of the bathroom with this same smile-grin-smerky look on their face, like ... I really enjoyed that, it was fun ... but I just somehow can't admit that I had fun!
So folks, THAT's how it's done!

OK, I hate to but I have to ask; I assume you just buy dark brown wash cloths? So you don't have to look at all those.... marks all day? Sorry, I guess I'm in the "job ain't finished until the paperwork is done" crowd!

For me personally I'm not drying my face today with a towel that I used on the other end yesterday. That's a deal breaker in my book. My choice, thankfully we all have the right to our choice.
