I used a piece of "non-slip shelf liner", the type that has a rubberized lace texture, removed the inside skylight dome, taped the shelf liner to the upper surface, then reinstalled the dome. It cuts down on about 50% of the light and about 75% of the heat, doesn't need to be cleaned, closed and it doesn't decrease headroom in the shower. Since it's taped in place and on the upper surface, it's easy to replace if needed, but ours has been in place since we bought the trailer in 2013 and still looks like new.
I chose "light gray" as the color, but only because it was what we had left over from putting new shelf liner in our S&B kitchen.
