2021 Cougar 10" crack in countertop lamintate

I went into our Cougar (29MBS) today & found about a 10" crack in the kitchen counter laminate I had a General Contractor look at it & he couldn't figure out how it happened & neither could I.( No evidence of water leak anywhere) The laminate is as thin as wall paper on top of particle board. The kitchen is in the back & it is right next to the cooktop.
I will be contacting Keystone customer service & also my Good Sam extended Warranty but am not too confident of resolution. In the meantime, it looks terrible & without replacing the entire countertop that wraps around the entire back & one side of kitchen, I am at a loss. :

What you are describing is thermofoil, although glued on, it really isn't laminate in the sense of formica, etc. Some portion of the counter must have been under stress from construction for the counter to crack. Yes, by all means reach out for warranty assistance. If it was caused by height misalignment of the supporting structure, make sure that this is resolved before a replacement is installed. Otherwise, the same thing could happen.
