Cougar 23MLE

I just purchased a 24 cougar 23MLE and am very pleased with it. I'm going through all the features, etc. The bedroom headboard lights will not come on. They are the type with a button in the center. There is power to that area. I have looked for hidden switches. Found none. Fuse box does not ID a fuse for them. Help is appreciated.

Welcome to the forum

Take the lens off and try pressing the center button. Often times the button on the lens doesn't hit the button switch. If that's the case you simply need to make sure the cap is on correctly. If pressing the button on the light doesn't work then make sure you have 12VDC at the connections for the lights.

Popped the cover off 1, there are 3. Light did not come on. I think you are correct in that there appears not to be 12V power to those lights. There is 110 power to each side of the bed. I have a photo of the fuse box and while there is no position labeled for those lights there are missing fuses. I'll concentrate on those. I'm assuming the lights go through that box.

The lights are 12v DC and have nothing at all to do with the 120v AC power system. They tend to be run from one light to the next, so check all the lights for power, and good connections starting with the closest ceiling light that actually works

Problem Solved

I had a local mobile tech attempt to fix the issue. After extensive analysis he discovered there was no 12 volt to signal the front AC to start. I took it back to the dealer and within hours they discovered a pinched wire that powers the AC and the series of lights and chargers. I normally video any new RV walk throughs we have but video stopped in the middle. Lesson to me is to hit every button and turn on every appliance before leaving dealer.
