Fresh water shutoff valve

I just bought a 2004 Keystone Zeppelin. I was trying to fill up the fresh water tank, when i was filling the tank up the water was coming out of a hose from the bottom of the trailer. Is there a water shutoff valve or does it need to be capped?? Thanks

water valve

Hi Patrick
Normaly where you see the water coming out the tube underneath your trailer there should be a white plastic end cap on the end of it. If you tighten the cap it will stop draining. maybe the cap is missing !

I agree with Ron. Those are likely your low point water drains designed to drain the water from the system. There is a cap on it that has to be tightened on, if you see no cap the other variation is a thumb valve but that is usually near the water connections for the camper.

My old Jay Flight had one of those that actually served as an overfill drain, i.e. if I overfilled the tank, the excess would come out a white tube on the bottom of the trailer. I'm not saying it's NOT your drain valve to the tank itself, but be sure before you go capping things.

If the unit was professional winterized they usually put the cap to the tank drain in the water heater compartment...

My Jayco also had the overflow, my Fuzion just spits out the fill port in the side of the trailer.

If you don't see any caps on the drain lines, look for a compartment just above. Inside, you'll find a shutoff valve. Make sure it's closed. If it's closed yet still drains water--the valve is broken and needs to be replaced.
