Sewer Hose?

Just wondering what length most use for your sewer hose? Is 15' long enough as a general rule or would I want a longer one?

We recently purchased a sewer hose that had two 10' pieces with connectors and sewer elbow. On our first trip with the new TT we needed all 20' feet of hose. I think the flexibility of a set up like ours would work well for many people. We purchased it through Amazon (best price).

That's all I have ever needed. But if you want longer you can buy extensions at your local rv store or amazon.

I have a 15 ft one. That is long enough most of the time. On rare occasions I have used a 15 ft extension hose.

We also have 2-10 foot sections which works best. First 2 times out we needed all 20 feet but since then we can get away with only 1 section. Nice to have both sections in the bumper just in case.

15 will work in most places but there are those few that you will need more, good to have an extra tucked away someplace just in case. Sewer hose seems to have the largest mark up in the campground store...

We have 2 10 foot sections. We almost always only need one section, but have the other if necessary. The nice thing about having two identical hoses is that I can swap them out to equalize the wear on each hose. That way, there's not one that's "new but dry rotted" and "one with holes". Both are about equally used and get replaced about every 3 or 4 years. We have the 6" square fence post mod with a piece of PVC gutter as a drawer, so I just pull the back hose from the drawer which rotates the hoses for wear.

I have two 10ft hoses. I would have an extra hose if i where you, you wont need it most of the time but every once in a while you will need it. I found it out the hard way, on our first night with our rig the sewer connection was too far away for my hose to reach didnt have the extention, so it was the first thing I bought when we got home.
