Sway control

I just purchased a 2020 outback 330 RL. I am towing with a 2015 silverado 2500 HD. I purchased a second hand husky weight distribution hitch and it came with the sway control. When I picked up the trailer i was told that i didn't need the sway control with this size trailer. Total length of trailer is 37'10" and weighs 8800 lbs dry.

So question is do i use it or not.
