I've used a couple of charcoal briquettes (not the self lighting ones) on a paper plate and then pour about 1/2 cup of "unused" coffee grounds (fresh before perking) on the charcoal and put it in the refrigerator, leave the door slightly ajar. Same in the freezer section if it's a 2 door unit.
