2nd Black Water Tank?

I have recently purchased a 2014 Cougar 280 RLS. The control panel shows Black water 1 - full and Black Water 2 - Empty. Do I have two black water tanks? If so how do I switch over to the 2nd tank? Thanks

I am not familiar with your particular model, but I doubt that you have two black tanks. Keystone uses the same information panel on different models. Our rig has two black tank indicators also, but only one black tank. Hopefully someone with your same model will chime in.

How many toilets do you have? That should be a key indicator. I have one up front and one in back on my 2017 Hideout and I have two black water tanks.

I guess I could look up your model but I'm lazy.

We also have a Cougar, 2017. Our panel shows a 2nd black tank as well. Seems the panels are pretty much standard configuration. i.e. one size fits all. If an option isn't equipped, then there isn't anything hooked up to it. One toilet one black tank, one unused status light. Here are the specs for your unit:

Yep - same panel for many RVs. I have 2 blacks and 1 gray but the panel shows 2 of each.

fwiw, the gauges are just an estimate. They routinely get debris on the sensors (mainly the black tanks) and read full when they are not. The best indicator is your eyeballs watching how much goes in.

our Bullet shows 1 black and 2 grey, but there is only 1 of each tank. So yup, universal panels is my bet.

As others have stated, it's very common to use one monitor panel for several different model/floor plans. I've seen labels for multiple slides and awnings when there is only one. Not limited to Keystone, it's the same across the industry.

2019 Carbon 39' toy hauler with 2nd 1/2 bath in the garage has 1 fresh water, 2 grey water, and 2 black water tanks. Front grey tank always fills 1st. It gets the shower stall.
