Underbelly mouse proofing

Heading into our first fall/winter with our new trailer, looking for recommendations on what to use to seal any opening to prevent any issues. What have people used or done and how well did it work out?

I was worried about mice getting into the Cougar both while camping as well as during winter storage. I stuffed some steel wool (mice hate steel wool) into every opening I could find then sealed the openings with Great Stuff expanding foam. https://www.walmart.com/ip/GREAT-STU...hoCMQoQAvD_BwE
Be sure to fill EVERY possible crack, hole or penetration no matter how small.
We're on our 5th season and no mice or other critters even-though a lot of our camping is primitive and there is a 40 acre field behind our house where we store the Cougar year round.

I did basically the same thing, but I used stainless steel scouring pads. I stuffed every hole where plumbing pipes or electrical wiring entered the interior. That kept them out of the living quarters, but they got into the roof and front wall. I then bought a roll of 1/4” Galvanized mesh (birdscreen) that I used to cover large openings under the battery compartment and propane tanks where I believe they got in. By the battery there were wires going into the rectangular tubing framework. They could climb up the wires into the tubing and from there to where ever they wanted to go.

As noted, plug all the holes no matter how small. I put bait on the ground outside the TT. They will eat it if they are around, don't put bait inside as they need to get in to get to it. On my old MH, I siliconed bait blocks on the frame all around and it was regularly eaten on.

Once I found that they had gotten in and chewed the ends of the wooden spoons we used for cooking, they were in the top drawer. Needles to say, no more wooden spoons.

I put a couple of sticky traps inside just in case.

Put the bait on your neighbors camper so they will go over there. I use fresh cab and have had good results. I'd rather make it unpleasant for them to be in my camper as apposed to challenging them to come in an "go for it". You''l never catch them all. Best to shoo them away IMHO.

I've seen some mention a mouse free spray, has anyone tried it? Considering stuffing any holes then apply that.
