Holding Tank Sensors

Hi! My grey tank sensors are always reading empty when I know they’re not (surprisingly the black tank sensors work!). I suspect I need to replace the sensors on the grey tank, but where are the holding tanks located, and how do I get to them? I have a 2015 Keystone Bullet 272BHS.

Welcome to the forum! If your trailer is still under factory warranty, I would have your selling dealership fix it. You probably just lost the ground on the sensor pack. You’ll have to remove as much coroplast as needed to access them. They will be located on the side of the tank and the white wire is the ground. The coroplast May held in place with rivers and you can remove them, and replace with self tapping screws/washers.

Honestly I wouldn't go to effort to drop the underbelly to fix something that won't work again after a couple fills.
We've had 7-8 RVs & to date haven't had one that the sensors weren't useless.

Thank you for that. I’m thinking I agree with you. May not be worth the trouble and my fresh and black water tank sensors work just fine, at least for now.

Thanks Chuckster57. I was hoping there was easy access to the tanks without taking off the underbelly. I think I’ll just let this one ride as is.

Your welcome. You don't need to remove the whole underbelly. just enough screws/rivets to get access, but its entirely your choice. We don't have a choice on a new unit, they all have to work when we deliver the unit.

replace? really? the rule of thumb in rving is that your sensors will quit on you.


learn when it is time to dump....sensors won't help.
