My 2019 315RLS is in the shop for warranty work. I too have a loose shower drain....but no leaking. It is a health dept issue and should be covered (words I used). They fixed that.

Cougar 29MBS, 2 Grey tanks
Just purchased a 2021 Cougar 29mbs. All specs state that it should only have 1 60g grey tank, but i have two grey tank dumps. 1 up in the water control panel and 1 near the rear by the kitchen. I would like to know if these tanks are split 50/50 or ideally 60/40. Thanks

Welcome to the forum. Tagging onyo a similar post may not get as many responses as starting a new thread. The specs are for 5otal capacity and not in any way indicating the number of tanks. A 60 gal gray capacity where the sources are a far distance apart would yypically indicate 2 seperate tanks with a dump valve for each tank as you have discovered. As those tanks fit in-between the frame rails thry will be identical so that would be two 30 gal tanks.
You can "cross feed" those 2 tanks by joining the outlets with a "Y" connecyion if they have seperare outlets. Then place a twist on gate valve on the outlet of the "Y" pipe. Close that valve, open both gray dump valves and the tanks will equalize in the liquid volume being contained.

Thank you for those tips on connecting the tanks together. Every spec that I am reading stated that there was 1 gray tank, so that is what I was going off of.

That's something every sales person should show you the customer the valve locations and tell you it has xx amount of tanks. Normally (not all) have 2 gray or some say 1 gray and 1 galley, 1 black and 1 fresh. In the Keystone spes I read it shows capacity not numbers of tanks, you go into other aftermarket sites and they list 1 tank.
Wait till you go camping in freezing weather and pipe freeze. They list it at Zero degree rated. Fine print says that means you can camp to zero degrees. Does that mean 32 F or 0 f there is a big difference.

Where are you seeing these specs? Keystone website only lists total capacity. The fresh twater capacity includes the water heater. Other sites not controlled by Keystone may "lump" that total capacity into a single tank listing as their software lists tank capacity not total capacity. It's a difference of nomenclature.

Yeah, I'm not finding anything on the Keystone site regarding the gray tank. It just says 60g. As far as the piping goes. Our under belly is a solid membrane so I can't see the piping. I haven't removed the the wall in the front storage to see what's behind there either.

You need to look under the trailer for another pull handle and outlet. It may be behind the frame or sven the rear tire on the driver's side. With a front bathroom and rear kitchen there will be 2 gray tanks.

I have found the two tanks release valve. I was just trying to find out what the capacity of each one was. I guess I would assume that they are both 30g tanks each.

The other specs were coming from printouts from the dealers that I have talked to about the unit. Looking at the printed copies they are pulling them from rvusa.com and not directly from Keystone. The Keystone website as you stated is just listing total capacity.

Gray tank capacities
We have a 2022 high country 295rl. Gray tank capacity is 88 gallons. I believe there are 2 tanks one for kitchen and the other for bathroom, my question is what are the capacities of each tank.

They should be approx. 44 gals. each. For me "how many gallons" equates to "when they get full". I don't measure gallons but instead measure in days/usage. If it gets full.....I should have dumped sooner.

Typically Keystone uses the same size tank for both the galley and the bathroom waste water storage. That said, whether it's 44 gallons each or 22 gallons each is pretty much "just a number". The reality is how long YOUR trailer gray water storage capacity will work for your family....
As an example, some owners with a demand water heater might fill the 44 gallon gray tank "in a single shower" while someone with a 30 gallon gray tank might get 6 or 8 showers and still have "room left for more"....
So, in all probability, you have two 44 gallon gray tanks, but how "functional they are for your family" is as different as night and day when compared to another user's experiences with the same tanks.

Specs say 1 gray tank with 60 gal capacity: https://www.rvusa.com/rv-guide/2020-...-29rdb-tr42331 but to be sure look for 1 or 2 gray tank dump valves. If you have two tanks, one for kitchen and the other for the bathroom, then there will not be an overflow between the tanks.

The OP asked that question in September 2019. It went dormant after 5 days and was revived on Haloween 2021 by NVDan, went dormant again in November 2021.
The thread had been dormant since November 2021 until Rick757 revived it today. Current discussion has "moved on, far away from the OP's trailer. In fact, the OP hasn't been on the forum since 11-13-2019
