2013 395 extreme bunks won't go down

My bunks won't go down. I assumed it was the switch. I just received the new switch and it still won't go down. It went all the way up. But won't go down. Help we leave for the winter in two weeks. It's the double bunks with the dinette on the bottom and bed on top.

My bunk went up just fine won't go down. I replaced the switch. That didn't fix the problem

Find the motor, it should have 2 wires. Apply 12VDC directly to those wires and see if it turns, then switch the polarity and see if the motor turns the other way. Let us know what you find.

I am not very good at mechanics or electrical. What is a 12VDC?

The bed motor operates on 12Volts. There is probably a black and red wire coming out of the motor. If you hook the red wire to 12V positive and the black wire to 12V negative it will turn one direction. Reverse the connections and the motor should spin in the opposite direction. If it works in both directions then the motor isn’t the problem.
