The Andersen hitch gets misaligned when you lift the trailer and you can end up lifting the truck through the ball. I always get back in the truck and put it in neutral once I feel a bind then put the parking brakes on before putting into park. That usually works for me.

Lifting the truck through the ball wt no way your saying the ball will stick and raise the truck enough to stall the landing gear . If your on a steep incline the ball will jump if the camper isn’t blocked it will move . No more then any other 2 5/16 ball.

My dealer replaced one leg. It seems ok. I don't know how one leg went bad but it's fixed. And under warranty! I've had the camper 16 months and no extended warranty. I didn't ask.

Good news! Not sure how a leg could get messed up either. Probably you will get a few opinions from folks smarter than me!

Wow! Good news and Good dealer. They likely recognized they misdiagnosed the issue on first go-round. Good for them and good for you.

Check the gears on the top of the landing jack
I had the same problem years ago. A couple gear teeth were stripped out

I think the legs get messed up from transporters and others just not caring and dragging them around excessively when hooking or unhooking. I had something nearly identical happen with my new fifth a few years ago and caught it at the PDI. In this case it was just the extension that was bent so they just swapped it with another on the lot and it's been fine ever since.
