Blowing Landing Gear Fuse

First weekend with the new to us 2009 Cougar 292RKS in the books. Only issue was I kept blowing the 30amp fuse for the landing gear. No problem on retracting the gear. However on extend the fuse would blow on anything more than about a 4 second button press. Could find no obstructions to cause, motor was not warm... Any ideas??

I've blown that fuse a couple of times but both times I had forgotten to raise the rear jacks so I really did overload the circuit. Some have suggested replacing the fuse with a auto reset circuit breaker.

Could be a bad or corroded connection overloading the circuit, could be the landing gear needs greasing?
