My choice would be an International CXT. 25000pd payload and 40000pd Max tow while rated as a pick up truck.

I am with post 3,4 and 5. Maybe up it to a F-550 frame/ gears, brakes, wheels etc. but keep it with a 8 ft. box. I have thought about that combo of a great truck for afew years.

I'm sold, but I don't even want to see the price. I hope my 2500 didn't hear me say that.

Thinking outside the box a bit . . . something with jet engines to transport the truck and trailer somewhere close to the camping spot? Not always a fan of the long hours in the truck to get there!

I enjoy the haul almost as well as the stay. Then again, I've always enjoyed driving.

I don't mind the drive, it's the price of fuel that hurts.
I would choose a NEW GMC 3500HD, Duramax and Allison.

If I had the Kenworth, I wouldn't need an rv. I would just tow my yacht with it!!!

I will second that..........the high fuel prices are threatening the enjoyment part though
